When you foster a dog for Hot Water Rescue, we take your advice and opinions very seriously. A dog's foster home provides us with
very important information. We greatly appreciate our foster families, and our foster families are always kept current as to how
the dogs that they have fostered are doing, receive photos, etc. We also try to place the dogs in a prompt manner, and
make sure that all of our homes are superior families or individuals.
When fostering for us, we agree that we will provide all of the medical care necessary for the dog, including transporting the dog
to and from the veterinarian. In the case that the dog is fostered a VERY long distance away from us, we would like to set up an
account with a veterinarian in your area. This enables us to pay them directly, so you will never be held responsible for veterinary
care. We transport and provide whatever we can for the dogs that is needed -- if you live near one of our volunteers, this can include
socialization and behavioral training work with the dog. What we expect in return is that you will treat your foster dog with total
love, and we hope that you can provide food for your foster dog. If that is not possible, we will try to work with you if we can.
We will provide you a list of approved foods for feeding.
Again, we thank you very much for your desire to help us, we definitely appreciate it! We have a long waiting list of dogs and puppies
desperately needing homes. Please, if you have room in your home and room in your heart, consider fostering a dog! It is one of the
most rewarding experiences in life that you could ever have. If you would like to talk to some of our current foster parents, feel
free to email us and we can put you in touch with them!
(Due to the volume of applications, we are only able to contact those applicants who seem best-suited for fostering
the dogs we currently have on our waiting lists. Unless instructed otherwise, we will keep your application on file and contact you when and if a good match for fostering comes into our care.)
