Leo (formerly Bandoo)

Leo (formerly Bandoo) was a blind baby boy who was absolutely TERRIFIED when he found himself in a high-kill city shelter. His luck turned when his new family saw his pictures, read his story, and decided that he was the perfect fit for their family!

Leo dropped us a note to let us know how he was doing:
"Hi, I'm Leo. I used to be a stray dog in NYC. I ended up on “death row” because most people don’t want blind Pitt Bull mixes. The people at the shelter and Hot Water rescue could tell I was going to make someone a great friend. I was starved and scared, but then I was on my way to Brattleboro, Vermont. The people I moved in with had just lost their beloved blind Boston terrier, Olive. They thought a good tribute would be to find a dog that really needed a good home. It took me a little while to get used to living with people, but I tried so hard. I think I’m pretty good at it now, except I get very scared when I’m left, I worry they wont come back. Luckily I live with 3 other dogs. The best part is, my new family just bought a farm outside of town. Now I’m a farm dog! I spend a lot of time all over the farm, I like the way it smells. I’m also such a good boy! I love my people so much, I moo like a cow if I hear the other dogs getting love. Well, that’s about it."
