Mooka (formerly Mucca)
Mooka's family writes:
"Miss Mooka Jane has been the PERFECT addition to our new home! She is incredibly
affectionate, and will push you off the couch trying to snuggle closer if you let
her! She loves playing in the backyard with her new brother, Boris, and he is
teaching her how to play catch and tug-of-war. She loves taking walks, and has come
a long way as far as leash etiquette is concerned. She is willing to do any
activity we ask of her, from swims in the lake, to long hikes in the woods, to lazy
Saturday mornings in bed. She and Boris are inseparable and we don’t know what we
would do without her at this point! She has gotten less skittish and put on plenty
of bulk. Her coat has finally all grown back in and is beautifully shiny and soft
like a rabbit. All her wounds have healed, and she finally knows what it’s like to
sleep on the couch! (And she LOVES it!)
Adam and I are EXTREMLY grateful to HWR, Barbara, Wendy, and ALL it’s volunteers.
Not only did Mooka get her forever home, but Boris got a perfect new friend, and we
got exactly what we wanted in a second dog. HWR could not have found us a better
fit in any other dog. Mook and all her pups will never have to fight for food or
find shelter from the rain ever again. Her foster parents Jim & Julie are a
GODSEND, and our new friends. They made quick decisions that helped save Mooka’s
life, and have continued to be of great support, and the anchor to helping keep
Mooka and her puppies and their new families in constant contact with play dates at
the dog park and photo swaps via email. We are eternally grateful to have Mooka,
THANK YOU HWR!!!"
