Meet two little girls who DESPERATELY need your help!
Their stories -
Both of these little girls came to our attention as they were in desperate need of someone to help them. How could we refuse? Below are Helen's and Isabella's (Izzy for short) stories. If you could find it in your heart to make a donation -- no matter how small -- towards the special vet care they need, we would all be so grateful and you will have helped to save a life. No donation is too small - every penny counts. Every dollar collected in either of their names will go directly towards improving their health and their life.
Helen's Story:
Life has not been easy for Helen. Used as a "cash cow" by a back-yard breeder. Then tossed aside like yesterday's newspaper. Never knowing the warmth of a bed at night. The comfort of being in a home. A loving pat on the head. A kind voice. Or a kind, caring person to provide the next meal. And if all of that wasn't bad enough -- abuse!Isabella's Story:
No one will ever know exactly how Helen came to lose the eye sight in her one eye. We are guessing trauma. But thanks to Hot Water Rescue Helen's life is now changing. She will never again know hunger, loneliness, or the pain from an unkind hand.
Helen stood no chance to be adopted and was slated to be put to sleep. We could not let this happen to this extremely sweet girl so we stepped forward and took her in to save her life. But we are at a crossroad now and in need of funds to have Helen's eye properly treated. We are striving to get Helen on the road to recovery and a new fur-ever home. One in which Helen will experience the tender loving care which she so rightly deserves.
Please help us help Helen.
Isabella - Izzy for short. A kind, caring Good Samaritan watched Isabella from the sidelines. He watched as her known drug user "owner" let Izzy languish in pain and discomfort. You see Isabella has demodectic mange which -- while not contagious to people or other pets -- can be very painful for the dog suffering from it if it isn't treated. After the Good Samaritan could NOT stand to watch Izzy suffer any longer, he approached the "owner" and offered him $50.00 for Izzy. Of course, Izzy was relinquished to him immediately. He tried his very best to treat her with medicated shampoos to relief her suffering, it was to no avail.
When he realized she needed more medical assistance than he could provide for her on his own, he took her to a veterinarian. But unfortunately he could not afford the expensive treatments needed to treat mange effectively. Her Good Samaritan was left with no other alternative but to surrender Izzy to his local animal control in the hopes that they could provide her with the proper care, not knowing that they would most likely just put her to sleep. But our Izzy had another Guardian Angel looking after her on that fateful day. A devoted animal control officer contacted Hot Water Rescue and asked if we could please assist Izzy.
With the help of a very dedicated foster mom, Izzy is now in Hot Water's loving hands. Izzy has been receiving the much-needed medical treatment she so desperately needed and is slowly starting to heal. Of course along with that comes Izzy's medical bills. Hot Water Rescue is seeking donations towards Izzy's continued care. Please remember, NO donation is too small to help this sweet little girl. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
