Hannah Female 1 ½ yrs

Hannah is a beautiful and loving girl who was dumped at our shelter. Late one night when a volunteer was in the building... she heard a sound... she walked outside and this beautiful, sweet, sad, very skinny girl had been tied to a pole outside. We brought her in and everyone got to see what a lovely young lady she is. She is very thin, but she is putting weight on as the days go by. She is a large girl though, and she LOVES to spend time with people! She is always smiling and wagging her tail whenever anyone is around. We named her Hannah as we thought is a name that matched her happy, sweet personality. As soon as everyone saw her, we knew that there would be a family out there who would just die for a dog like her.    more...

Augustine Male 10 months

Mr. Augustine is an incredible guy - he was surrendered to us by someone who was unable to take care of him. Since then, he has been bounced around, desperate for a place where he knows will be forever. He has now ended up at TASC while he waits for a fabulous home! This dog has so much to offer! Augustine is a brilliant dog, he is so smart and learns so quickly we know that doing training with him will be so much fun for whomever adopts him! He would be happy to learn basic commands and I am sure he would excel in agility too! Any kind of further training I am sure he would love as well...    more...

Moxie Male 1 year

This gentle boy was another that we found abandoned at tasc, but sadly, when we found him, we saw that this poor boy had a collar that had grown into his neck due to severe neglect. Prior to abandoning him at our shelter, someone just ripped out the collar and his neck was raw, mangled, and bleeding. I heard about him and spoke with the president of the group who was just so broken hearted about how cruel people can be. I came into work the next day and met him. He was sitting still like a perfect gentleman, and once I started to speak to him, he just walked up to me and gave me a sweet, gentle kiss. From then on, it was love!    more...

Madame Butterfly Female 6 months

This beautiful little girl has been with us since she was a little pup and unfortunately, was never transferred out so she's been growing up at the shelter. She is six months old now, and a total ham! She is SUPER smart, extremely happy, and beautiful to boot! This girl has been housed with several other dogs and she does great with everyone, and she LOVES to meet new people and give them lots of kisses!    more...

Happy Male 6 months

Happy is such a great guy who has such a sad story... He was found as a stray after being starved almost to death. Unfortunately, due to the city trying to halt our intake of dogs due to zoning issues, we have been encouraged not to take on new dogs, so we told the finder of the dog that we simply couldn't take any more in right now. Once I said that, she began walking to her car as she began explaining how she was going to shoot him.    more...

Sam Male 1 year

Sam is one of the cutest little guys you will ever meet! He was surrendered to TASC when the elderly woman who had been caring for him could no longer afford her home and had to move in with her daughter in a place not allowing dogs... She came to us in tears, speaking of what a sweet boy he was when her grandson walked him in on a leash as they begged for us to take him... because they knew anywhere else he would never have a chance at a good life.    more...

Rocco Male 2 years

Rocco is a dog that will melt your heart as soon as you set eyes on him. Rocco is a dog that will melt your heart as soon as you set eyes on him. He was found completely emaciated and barely able to walk about a year ago. Since then, he has been in foster care where he put on some much needed weight and began building his muscles again. Though he has had a clearly sad and neglected life, this guy is the nicest dog you will ever meet, and he is a perfect breed ambassador!!    more...

Electra Female 6 months

Electra is exquisite! This adorable little girl came to TASC after she had an exposed electrical wire in her mouth which exploded and blew apart particles of her jaw. After having that happen, no one wanted her. This poor puppy didn't know what happened, all she knew is that she was the same happy silly girl as she was before. When you see pictures of Electra you can see something happened, but it certainly doesn't slow her down! She eats well and lives life just like any other pup!    more...

Minnie Female 2 yrs

Minnie is a sweet loving girl who URGENTLY needs a forever home! Minnie is one of the most solid, gentle, loving dogs that has ever come through TASC. She was abandoned as a little one and was with another dog whom she loved to pieces. This was prior to my arrival at TASC, but what I was told was that she was given to a home with that dog and a rattlesnake killed her companion the day she was adopted and they decided to return her the next day. Naturally Minnie was heartbroken. She had finally made it out of the shelter to a home with her best pal and the only consistent love she ever knew, and he died... and even worse, she ended right back up at the shelter. Chispa Female 7 months

Chispa is ANOTHER wonderful girl who finds herself in desperate need of a forever home! Chispa is a wonderful girl who came into TASC when she was just a little pup. She went to a home for "foster to adopt" a program which no longer exists, but was arranged so the pups could go to be held until they are 6-7 months, to be spayed and then the adoption would be completed. Well, Chispa's foster to adopt home dropped her off to be spayed, and once she was spayed they wanted to adopt her, but could not pay her adoption fee.    more...

Mabel Female 12 months

This precious angel is now URGENTLY in need of a home or she faces an uncertain future! Mabel is one of the most precious dogs you will ever meet. She was abandoned at the front door of TASC when she was just a little girl along with her littermate. She lived at TASC for a little while until she was transferred to a Colorado shelter. Unfortunately, when she was transferred to Colorado (She was transferred so she would be in a larger shelter with more exposure) she was injured and the shelter was going to put her to sleep! Someone from TASC instantly drove back to Colorado to pick up Mabel as euthanizing her just wasn't an option in the minds of everyone at TASC.    more...

Cisco Male 1 year

Cisco is a GORGEOUS guy who was sadly abandoned at TASC. After he was abandoned, everyone at TASC met him and fell for him! Not only is he extremely handsome, but he has a total heart of gold. Cisco has been here for quite a while and is waiting patiently for a loving forever home. At his young age, he has what I consider to be the ideal energy level. He Spends most of his time relaxing as close to his humans as he can (he would LOVE to snuggle on the sofa) but he also is happy and ready for any adventure you would like to take him on! He has a very "go with the flow" happy go lucky personality. He loves to give hugs and kisses and he certainly is the true definition of the term "mans best friend."    more...

Charlie Male 1 year

When I first saw Charlie it was love at first sight. This adorable little guy (weighing in around 35 lbs) was thrown over the fence at TASC and has been here for several months. When you look at him you see that he is clearly a Heinz 57, a complete mix of probably several different breeds. I know in writing about him I will never be able to do justice to the wonderful dog he is, but I will do my best to try. Charlie is mostly black with tan on his legs and it is the primary color on his face. He is medium sized, but quite petite and delicate. When I first met him he barked a little bit and I approached him and he instantly started to gently give kisses! He rubbed up against the cage and I couldn't resist going in with him! He is truly one of the sweetest dogs walking this earth. This dog has a love for people that will be difficult to match. I wished immediately upon meeting him that I could adopt another dog because he is just such a sweet dog. He loves people do death, but he is also EXTREMELY smart. He will pick up any training you would want to do with him, as he is not only so intelligent, but also very eager to please!    more...

Daisy Duke Female 1 year

Due to recent developments, ALL of the animals at TASC are considered URGENT!!! Daisy Duke is a princess! Everyone that sees this girl instantly falls for her gentle eyes and big heart... She was abandoned at the shelter several months ago where she met Bud (also available for adoption) whom she shares her cage with. These two are total characters! Daisy Duke is a total sweetheart. She is submissive with other dogs and loves their company! She is totally in love with all people of all ages and will for sure make a great family dog! Our cages are over 6 ft tall, and because she loves us all so much, every morning when we come in, she stands at the corner of her cage, and from THE GROUND she jumps straight up to the top of the cage, where she sits to look where one of us is, and she jumps down and comes to say hello!    more...

PUPPIES! Males/Females 8 - 12 weeks

Due to recent developments, ALL of the animals at TASC are considered URGENT!!! TASC always has puppies very much in need of loving homes! We have labs and lab mixes, aussie mixes border collie mixes, pitty mixes, Great Pyranees mixes Boxer mixes, etc. We have many healthy beautiful puppies and we get them dropped off almost every day. If you are looking for a puppy or you know someone who is, please call us or submit an application for adoption. We typically transfer our puppies to other shelters but we generally have a dozen at a time, EXCLUDING all of the litters we have in foster care. Amber Female 8 months

Due to recent developments, ALL of the animals at TASC are considered URGENT!!! Amber is a precious little girl who was abandoned as a puppy after one of her ears was hacked up and infected. Sadly, we had to remove the majority of her ear because the infection was so bad... And Amber had to stay at the shelter to recover. Since prejudice became law in Colorado, we have been unable to send out Pitty pups up there which has minimized their ability for adoption, especially since up until now the dogs hadn't been advertised, no one knew they were there!    more...

Peanut Butter Male 12 months

Due to recent developments, ALL of the animals at TASC are considered URGENT!!! Peanut Butter came to TASC when he was just a little peanut and everyone fell for him as he was adorable and very sweet. He ended up growing up at TASC and he is now just under a year old. The special thing about this guy, other than being handsome and fun, is that he is deaf. It wasn't learned until recently that Peanut Butter was deaf and he is almost a year old. Taking that into account, this guy needs a special home who has the patience and time to start from square one and train a deaf dog.    more...

Queen of Kisses Female 10 years

I like to think of this girl as the queen of kisses, I have several different nicknames for her, although she is officially named "Tongue" here at TASC. She has this name, as you can probably see, because her tongue is always extended out of her mouth. She is an old girl, has been here for I am not sure how long, and she really deserves a great retirement home. She is a little "voluptuous" :-) She is very mellow and gentle, she gets along great with other dogs (she is in with a young female pitbull and a male shepherd mix). She loves to relax in the sun, and she loves to follow you around when you are doing work in her kennel. She enjoys food and some moderate activity when people have time to spend with her.    more...

Bandit Male 10 months

Bandit is an awesome guy!! He was abandoned here with his sister, Bea, when they were just young pups. Well sadly, they are still here at TASC waiting for someone to save them. We are not looking to place them together... It would be great to find them a home together, but they are also happy separately so it isn't as important to keep them as a pair, so Bandit needs a great home.    more...

Sanji Male 10 yrs approx

Sanji is a wonderful, sweet old fellow who is looking for a great retirement home! He is a very able ten years old, we believe, but you wouldn't know it! He does love his time relaxing in the sun, but he also loves to go on long walks, play sometimes, and he does get along well with all other animals! KITTENS! Males & Females 8 weeks

We have lots of beautiful kittens at TASC available for adoption! We have both males and females, we have calicos, gray, black, and orange tabbies, solid black, white and grays, there are so many wonderful kittens to choose from! Custard (a.k.a. Whitey Ford) Male 1 year

Custard has been at TASC since he was just a tiny baby. He was abandoned with his littermate who ended up being adopted, but poor Custard was left behind. He was named Custard, but I didn't know his name and whenever I saw him I ended up calling him Whitey Ford... (the more time I spend with the cats, they all end up with silly nicknames!).    more...

"Monster" Male 8 wks approx

Monster's caretaker writes: "The black and white is a male, I would say probably born in April 2007. He is a black tabby, meaning he has darker black stripes if you look in the right light. Also he has four white feet and a white belly. I named him monster because he acts all tough sometimes, then turns around and is nice the next instant. He resists some when I medicate him, but not horribly. He does like attention, and people, but not dogs very much. Monster is a nice cat with a lot of personality and will be a lot of fun to have as a pet."    more...

Angel Male 8 wks approx

Angel's caretaker writes: "The brown tabby is also a male, and has no other colors or markings. He was also probably born in April 2007. I call this one Angel, he is absolutely the sweetest cat. Angel will let you do anything with him, I've cleaned his eyes and medicated him and he just hangs relaxed in my hold. He loves attention and purrs the instant he is picked up. He is also good with dogs. I feel this cat will do well in a house full of children and other animals."    more...
