Here she is, ZuZu the amazing wonder pup with her super family! ZuZu is one VERY lucky pooch! Her family had this to say about her: ZuZu
"ZuZu was love at first sight. From the moment we laid eyes on her on the HWR website, we knew she belonged in our family.
Being our first APBT, HWR had some concerns at first, especially with her being a puppy and with our two children. But we all worked through it and became approved. We drove to CT to pick her up and there was an instant bond. ZuZu was thrilled with our 8-year-old son and he just melted! On the ride home she sat on her Aunt's lap and rested her head on Karly's shoulder. She is still our 45 lb. lap dog!
Our transition went very smooth. ZuZu adapted pretty much instantly. Our 2-year-old daughter feeds her nightly. ZuZu will sit/stay and wait for the O.K. to eat. At night she usually sleeps with Cody unless she decides to sleep in her own bed (which is not very often).
ZuZu is beautiful. She is crazy at times, says my husband, but always very gentle and loving. Some of the things she enjoys are helping the children with their bath time. She must be in the bathroom, with her head hung over the edge, ready for any toy or water to come her way. She loves to be outside with them too. She swings with them (literally!), digs, races and can slide down the slide too! She loves to be in the car and along side us when we hike. She loves to be at the Fire Department where Steve works. She plays basketball and whiffle ball with all the guys and loves to be in the Fire trucks with the kids.
The best part about watching her grow, with our family, is the relationship with our children. ZuZu gets very upset when our daughter throws a tantrum. ZuZu will cry with her and make sure that I am O.K. She will stay near her until she is done and make sure that she is safe. Our son is a very gentle and loving child and ZuZu seems to understand that. She can be playing with him and running around wild with him and in a split second can calm down and just lay in his lap while he pets her.
ZuZu has been an absolute pleasure. We are all very happy and know that she is. We are ecstatic that she is a part of our family and know that it was meant to be.
We thank her HWR foster parents for doing such a wonderful job raising and socializing her until she came into our lives. We hope you enjoy our pictures!
